New City Catechism Class

At Gracepointe Church, we believe that it is important to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Historically, one of the most effective methods to accomplish this goal is catechetical instruction. However, catechism is not just for kids. This method of learning is a great way for adults to learn the important precepts of the Christian faith. We recognize that the concept of catechism is unfamiliar to many. Therefore, please feel free to contact us if we can answer any questions or concerns that you might have.

What is catechism?

In its simplest form catechism is a synopsis of the important doctrines of our faith in the form of questions and answers, used for the instruction of Christians.

How will this be done at Gracepointe?

We are utilizing The New City Catechism for the classes we will offer for both adults and children. The questions and their responses are used as a tool to engage with the fundamentals of the faith that they teach. We will have an adult class and a kid’s class.

When will this take place?

Both classes will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:15-7:30.

How do I sign up?

You can click below to register or you can sign up at any of our Connection Centers on Sunday morning. Because of the format of this class, we are limiting the class number to 50 children.
